You use it when you make a prediction without having evidence.

You use it when you make plans that can change .

Sentences using will

Perhaps it will rain tomorrow. 

I will call him tomorrow, promise. 

I will probably take the next train.

We will win the competition this year. 

I will go to South America next year. 

Future: Going to

When do you use it?

You use it when you make plans (which you wrote in your diary).

You use it when you make predictions and you have evidence.

Sentences using going to

She is going to visit her grandfather this week. 

She is going to the USA next week. She bought the tickets yesterday. 

Look, he is going to fall off his chair.

Future: present continuous

When do you use it?

If you have an appointment with a fixed time/ at a fixed place.

Future: present simple

When do you use it?

You use it when there is a fixed time scheme. 

Sentences using the present continuous

I am driving to the theater on Wednesday.

She is meeting him at 5pm.

Is Luke performing at the concert tonight?

Lisa is leaving in an hour.

The train to London departs at two pm.
