The someone rule
If you can put 'by someone' behind it, it's passive voice

"he parked the car" "by someone" --> active voice
"the car has been parked" "by someone" --> passive voice

When something happens every day/regularly/as expected
object + am/is/are + voltooid deelwoord
The flowers are watered by the gardener every evening

Kids always eat candies
Candies are always eaten by kids

Past simple - passive
Used when things are in the past and are done and finished. 
Passive: object + was/were + voltooid deelwoord
The apple was eaten by the little boy

The teacher corrects the mistakes
The mistakes were corrected by the teacher.
