INTRODUCTION

Prior to modernization, African societies solve problems and meet their needs using  traditional skills, practices, ideas and local resources. These include  the use of simple tools for farming, herbs for medicine, materials for building and crafts, they pass down these ideas through generations. 

This strand focus our studies on how African societies used their knowledge creatively and sustainably long before the introduction of Western science. and technology.
