Metal Working
Metal work started in egypt before spreading to other communities in Africa including Ghana. the first raw materials used was copper and later gold. The process of metalworking started with the mining of ore, smelting or melting and fabrication.

Iron working technology allowed the production of tools and weapons and other agricultural implements. ironworking techniques varied across different regions and time periods starting from iron smelting dated back to around 2500 BCE in regions like the Great Lakes area and Nubia.

INDIGENOUS IRRIGATION SYSTEM
Ancient African irrigation began with the advanced techniques of the ancient Egyptians, who used basin irrigation to control Nile floodwaters for farming. They built canals, dikes, and shadufs to manage water efficiently. These innovations laid the foundation for irrigation practices across other parts of Africa.
