        - Last night he was ill.

Een plaatsbepaling moet achteraan de zin. 

      - He went on holiday to Spain.

Plaats en tijd

Als je beiden in een zin hebt, moet de tijdsbepaling nog steeds helemaal voor- of achteraan. 

 PVT: plaats voor tijd (P komt voor de T in het alfabet) .

- The cat slept on my bed last night. (PVT: plaats voor tijd) 

- Last night the cat slept on my bed.
