What can I do for you as your English teacher?

What are you going to learn? 

• The English lessons will aim to teach you how to communicate and use English generic (exams) and technical vocabulary (tests)
• We'll be on focusing on the following communicative skills, such as:

1. Reading (CEFR B1)
2. Listening (CEFR B1)
3. Speaking (CEFR A2)
4. Writing (CEFR A2)
5. Vocabulary/Grammar (sub-skills)

Rules of the game

1. We respect everyone in this class and work together (that includes the teachers as well!)

2. Zero-tolerance to bullying, discrimination or disrespect.

3. No phone use during the lesson (unless I say so), especially during tests. 

4. Make sure to always have your school materials with you!

5. When you're sick or running late, hit me up: [e-mail] or [e-mail]

6. Always participate in class, don't stay quiet. It's okay to make mistakes! That's how we learn!

7. Never leave the classroom messy. So, make sure to pick up your trash and throw it away.

8. Do not disturb the classroom when we're busy with the lesson. 

9. Always complete your assignments on time! Also, it is forbidden to use AI!

10. You are responsible to contact me to resit (herkansing) a test. If you we're sick, make sure to send me an email or contact me on MS Teams!

What do you need for English?

In this class, we'll be working extensively with various programs. Therefore, you'll need 

• Laptop/Tablet
• Earpieces/headset/AirPods 
• Your A-game!
• A Pen or Pencil
• Using Canvas

How this year is going to work

During the school year, you will be busy with subject-specific English (beroepsgericht Engels).

The subject-specific test will help you learn technical/aviation-related vocabulary better, and the grammar will strengthen your fluency. 

How we assess your level is based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)

Icebreaker game

In this icebreaker, each participant takes a turn to share three things about themselves: Two things that are true, and one that is a lie. The rest of the team then must guess which of the three facts is the lie!
