Gebruik 1

Om aan te geven dat je in de toekomst iets aan het doen bent

Next year I will be doing my final exams at this date. 

Daar ben je volgend jaar op dit moment dus actief mee bezig: je zit dan in de gymzaal de toetsen te maken.

Om toekomstige gebeurtenissen te voorspellen of raden

I expect he will be coming to the meeting tomorrow.

Je verwacht dat hij morgen aanwezig gaat zijn op de vergadering

Om op een beleefde manier naar de toekomst te vragen

Will Jim be coming with us tonight?
