Present Simple → Past Simple

He is telling a lie

Step by step guide
Step 1: Find the verb and change it to the past.
Step 2: Change the pronouns and time.
Step 3: Add the word ''that'' behind ''said''.
Step 4: Change the subject if necessary.

2. will come - would come
3. I - she
4. here - there

She said that she would come there after class.
She told me that she would come there after class.

what's expected'.
