Let's go to the mediatheek

We will go to the school library to pick up a copy of Power & the Glory (only 1 per pair). What you should do is: 

- Decide who you want as a partner for the oral exam (duos). 

- Discuss which book you'd like to read, because you can't read the same.

- Let your teacher know about both. 

Time to read

Before reading:

- Write / copy in your new notebook: 

- Title, author, first date of publication, no. of pages, some info about the structure (no. of chapters, different parts?), how much time will you need?

- While reading: annotate

    - phrases / passages that stand out to you

    - difficult words / passages

1. On your own: write a short summary of what you've just read (+ pages), 3m

2. Find someone who's reading the same book and discuss

    - your summaries (compare)

    - difficult words / passages, find out the meaning together

3. Find your partner, read out loud the passage that stood  

     out to you & explain. 

4. Make a note in your notebook (+ page no)
