Wanneer gebruik je PAST SIMPLE?
Als iets in het verleden gebeurde (en klaar/afgelopen is) en het is duidelijk of belangrijk wanneer dat was.
Meestal staat er een precieze tijdsaanduiding in de zin, zoals:     *(LADY W)  last month, two years ago,  21th/May (date),  in 1958 (year),  yesterday,  when I was a child.

*LADY W = acronym
