You need to break these down into the correct units. 
Rememeber to check for hair growth patterns. This will help you suggest suitable cuts and styles to your client.

In this unit you must do 3 observations and cover the following: 
  • Setting,
  • Blow drying, 
  • Pin curling, 
  • Finger waving,
  • Straightening, 
  • Curling: point to root, root to point.

304 - Cutting. 

In this unit you must do 4 observations. 

During these 4 observations, you must cover all of the following: 
  • Short graduation
  • Long graduation
  • Texturising
  • Asymmetric
  • Disconnected 
  • Scissors
  • thinning/texturising scissors
  • Razor

As you can see, there is 2 parts to your colouring unit. 

306 - Colouring hair 
For this unit, you will do 4 practical observations. During 3 of these you must cover all of the following at least once:
  • Slicing, weaving and block colour (must cover each technique)
  • Quasi or semi permanent or toner
  • Permanent colour
  • Lightener
  • Combinations of techniques 
  • Combinations of colour

You then need to do 1 observation for a colour correction covering one of the following: 
  • Base too dark
  • Base too light 
  • Colour fade
  • Colouring resistant hair 
  • Restoring depth and tone
  • Neutralising tone


410 - Colour correction

For this unit you will do 4 observations and cover the following: 
  • Remove bands and seepage
  • Remove artifical colour
  • Restoring depth and tone
  • Colour correction of own choice

You must write all of your mixing ratios here in FULL.

308 - Perming 

During this unit you need to complete 3 observations. During these, you must cover 3 of the following winds:
  • Spiral
  • Hopscotch
  • Directional
  • Stack
  • Double
  • Piggyback
  • Weaving
  • Root.

Client feedback is still needed. You need to write all the aftercare you have given to your client.

You will be given a target by your tutor and they will give you written feedback here. 

You must remember to circle YES if you are aware of the apeals procedure and sign.

There are new for level 3. When carrying out all technical services. 

You should be drawing - Placement of foils, placement of colour, cutting angles used, perm winds used and placement of perm rods.

This is your area to write up a description of what you have completed. 

At level 3, you should be working towards writing at A level standard. This means you should writing clear descriptive sentences that describe the services carried out with as much detail as possible. 

Remember to check your spelling and grammer and ensure your write up is clear and defined.
