According to AccuWeather, the temperature will be 20 degrees at noon tomorrow, and it will be dry and sunny (AccuWeather, s.d.). Therefore, the weather will be agreeable.

Grammar - conditional phrases
  • Often using 'if' 
  • Or 'if' could have been used
  • Always about cause and effect: if this, then that. 
  • Mostly with will/would, but also may/might, can/could etc.

Never use 'will' or 'would' in the clause that contains 'if'!
1. Fact/certainty:
If you study, you will pass your exams.
2. Uncertainty:
If you studied, you would pass your exams.
3. Too late
If you had studied, you would have passed your exams.
