Activity Three 

Activity Three is where you are asked to produce a IT service delivery solution for your scenario- we know the 2026 scenario is a bookstore. You have THREE HOURS for this activity.

This can be done in Visio/Word/PowerPoint/Access... whichever you are more comfortable with- essentially this a network diagram with a explanatory key and a Data Flow Diagram (DFD)

Activity Three- Key Tips

1. Skim scenario, highlight anything about “now” vs “future”.
   
2. List 8–12 bullet requirements in a margin (people, places, systems, future plans).
   
3. Turn each requirement into at least one design decision. 
4. Only then start writing/diagramming.

Activity Four

Activity Four asks you to turn your designs/solutions into an evaluation. This is classed as a management report based on activity three. 

You have ONE HOUR AND THIRTY MINUTES to complete this.

Activity Four- Key Tips

1. Statement: “Overall, my solution is appropriate for X because…”
2. Evidence: refer to a specific part of Activity 3.
3. Strength(s): 1–3 clear positives.
   
4. Limitation(s): 1 realistic downside.
   
5. Link/judgement: “This is acceptable/will work for the company because…”

Keywords: Because, however

Remember this is an evaluation of what you have ALREADY done.

Activity Five

Activity Five is where you look at how your solution will impact the business. Implications- what changes and for who.

A useful rule: every implication paragraph must mention a change, a risk/constraint, and a response- how it can be counteracted.

You have ONE HOUR AND THIRTY MINUTES to complete this.

Activity Five- Key Tips

1. What changes in practice?
   
2. Who is affected (staff / customers / business)?
   
3. What could go wrong or constrain this (time, money, law, security) and how will it be handled?
   
4. Keep it exam‑friendly: one solid paragraph per heading is better than half a page of bullet points; name specific roles from the scenario (“sales assistants”, “warehouse staff”) rather than generic “users”.
