Irish fairies
Stories of Irish fairies are still very popular in Irish culture. They are a part of Irish history. The Irish really believed in them. Fairies were both feared and respected and they didn’t always look like the cute fairies you see in the movies. There are seven types of Irish fairies: merrow, dullahan, pooka, leprechaun, changelings, grogoch and banshee. Let’s introduce two of them.

Slide 7 - Slide

THE LEPRECHAUN

The leprechaun is a tiny man. He has a red beard, red cheeks and pointy ears. He makes a lot of jokes.

Slide 8 - Slide

THE POOKA

The pooka is a small creature with hair all over its body. It has large ears and yellow eyes and looks a bit scary. They say it brings bad luck to farmers.
