je gebruikt op deze manier het werkwoord als zelfstandig naamwoord

- na voorzetsels als for, to, about, from, etc. 
- na bepaalde werkwoorden zoals to hate, to love, to stop, etc. 
- als (deel van het) onderwerp 
- na een aantal woorden/uitdrukkingen, zoals to feel like, it's worth, can't help, etc.

Present perfect continuous
have been + werkwoord + -ing

iets is in het verleden begonnen en nog steeds bezig en je wilt benadrukken hoe lang het al bezig is, vaak sprake van irritatie

I have been waiting for him for over an hour! 
We have been watching this TV series since 9 o'clock this morning.

Hoe op de toets?

Je krijgt een opdracht waar steeds de present perfect continuous is weggelaten. Tussen haakjes staat in het Engels het werkwoord wat je moet vervoegen. Deze moet je op de juiste manier opschrijven.
