after today's lesson:

* you will be able to use the past simple tense in the negative and in the interrogative. 

* You will know how to use regular and irregular verbs in the past simple tense.

What did you do during the school holidays?

past simple: regular and irregular

regular verbs: verb + ed

irregular verbs: own form 

in questions

verbs:

be (was/were)       can (could)

           will (would)

They go in front of the question!

All other verbs get DID!

examples:

in negatives:

Be, Do, Can, Have and Will get NOT.

All other verbs get didn't/did not and lose the past tense.

examples:
