  1. On a sunny day in August Jack cycles to Walmart.
  2. There he buys an inflatable swimming pool.
  3. In his garden at home he blows up the swimming pool.
  4. He fills it up with water with help of a garden hose.
  5. But then an aggressive dog comes along.
  6. It bites the side of the pool, so it breaks.
  7. All water spills out, so the garden is flooded.
  8. The boy cries and swims towards his house.

 Story consequence game
This game can be played in pairs, small groups or with the whole class.

Instructions:
1. Each child needs a sheet and pencil.
2. First, children secretly write when the story takes place. For example, ‘One stormy night…’
They fold the paper and pass it on to the next person.
3. Next, each player writes where the story takes place. They fold the paper and pass it on.
4. Play continues until all of the questions have been answered.
5. Finally, children open up their folded pieces of paper and read their stories.
