Hoe adresseer je iemand (als je de naam van de persoon weet)

- Dear Mr -> voor een man 

- Dear Miss -> ongehuwde vrouw 

- Dear Mrs -> gehuwde vrouw 

- Dear Ms -> onbekend

voor de achternaam van de persoon.

Example: Dear Mr Smith, (met een komma!)

Hoe adresseer je iemand (als je NIET de naam van de persoon weet)

Gebruik "Dear Sir/Madam,"

Gebruik altijd een witregel tussen de aanhef en de boodschap:

Wanneer je jezelf voorstelt

Benoem altijd je volledige naam, leeftijd en nationaliteit. 

Example: 

My name is Anna van Beek, and I am 16-year-old and I am  from the Netherlands. / I live in Amersfoort, the Netherlands. 

Gebruik "the Netherlands" voor land, NIET "Holland"

(Feitelijke) boodschap

- Zorg voor een goede opbouw en duidelijke boodschap. 

- Deel de punten uit de opdracht in en maak alinea's ipv één groot stuk tekst. 

- Tussen elke alinea moet een witregel zitten. 

- Verwerk altijd alle elementen uit de opdracht. 

- Schrijf een mooie/leuke/beleefde afrondende zin vóór de offciiële afsluiting.
