HOW TO MAKE QUESTIONS?

1 Als er am, are, is of can in de zin staat, maak je de vraag door dit woord simpelweg aan het begin van de zin te zetten.

■ He is the greatest guy I know. -> Is he the greatest guy I know?
■ She can jump really high. -> Can she jump really high?
■ We are at school. -> Are we at school?

Slide 3 - Tekstslide

2. Als één van deze werkwoorden niet in de zin staat, dan gebruik je do of does in het begin van de zin om de vraag te maken.

■ They work well together. -> Do they work well together?
■ He studies a lot. -> Does he study a lot?

Bij he, she, it / does gaat het ww terug naar het hele werkwoord.
Harry cycles to school - > Does Harry cycle to school?

Slide 4 - Tekstslide

3. Als er have got of has got in de zin staat, dan zet je have of has vooraan, en got blijft op dezelfde plek.

■ You have got to return that book today. -> Have you got to return that book today?
■ He has got a date at 3PM. -> Has he got a date at 3PM?

Slide 5 - Tekstslide

HOW TO MAKE NEGATIONS?
■ Je gebruikt ontkenningen om te zeggen dat iets niet zo is.

■ Meestal doe je dit door don’t of doesn’t voor het werkwoord te zetten.
 I, you, we and they = don’t
He she and it = doesn’t

Example; I want to work today -> I don’t want to work today.
She likes to study. -> She doesn’t like to study.

Bij he, she, it / doesn’t gaat het werkwoord terug naar het hele werkwoord.
Harry cycles to school. - > Harry doesn’t cycle to school.

Slide 6 - Tekstslide

Als er am, are, is, can, may of will in de zin staat, zet je er gewoon not achter.

Example; She is the prettiest girl I know. - > She is not the prettiest girl I know.
We can do that! -> We cannot do that!

Als er have got of has got in de zin staat, zet je “not” tussen deze twee woorden om te ontkenning te maken. Je kunt ook n’t achter have of has zetten.

Example; She has got three brothers. She hasn’t got three brothers.
She has not got three brothers.
