The Human Body

Bones

- The 206 bones that make up the adult human skeleton enable movement, structural support, and organ protection. 

- Additionally, your knees are protected by a tiny bone called the patella.

- The ears contain the tiniest bone in the body.

- Compared to adults, babies have more bones. Bones fuse together as you grow.

Lungs

- Your body uses your lungs to breathe.

- In fact, you can survive without a lung.

- Your lungs are the only organ in your body that has the ability to float on water. 

Brain

- Water makes about 80% of our brain.

- The brain is roughly three pounds in weight.

- All ideas, feelings, and sensations are controlled by the brain.

Human Senses

- Humans use their senses of sight, touch, taste, smell, and hearing to investigate their surroundings. 

- We refer to these five methods of exploration as our human senses.

- The tongue, one of our senses, has the strongest muscle in the body. 

Your teeth 

- Enamel, which covers your teeth, is the strongest material in your body.

- You will have 32 teeth in all by the time you are an adult. 

- When the mother is six about months pregnant, the baby teeth start to grow in the mouth of a baby.
