70% of the earths surface is covered by water.

97% of this water is saline (salty)

So only 3% is fresh water and 2% of that is found in glaciers

Scarcity = schaarste

Rivers

Drainage basin = the entire collection area of a river

Tribituaries= small side rivers

Watershed= the boundary between two drainage basins.
