Hospitality Industry in the UK
The UK hospitality industry is diverse and includes restaurants, hotels, bars, cafes, catering services, and much much more.

Statistics: 
The UK hospitality sector is comprised of approximately 143,000 businesses, employs around 1.8 million people and, in 2019, generated £40.4 billion in Gross Value Added. As well as providing jobs and contributing to the economy, hospitality plays a vital role at the heart of communities up and down the country, giving a welcoming space for people to come together (Gov.uk, 2021).

Types of Food Service
1. Table Service: Wait staff serves food at the table. 
2. Assisted Service: Customers serve themselves but are assisted by staff. 
3. Self-Service: Customers serve themselves completely. 
4. Single-Point Service: Food is served from a central counter.
 5. Specialized or In Situ Service: Food is prepared and served at the customer's location.
