We can also use phrases ( a set of two or more words) rather than single adverbs to modify clauses. These are called adverbial phrases.                                                      Adverbial phrases usually do not contain a verb

Zoe rode her bike with excitement (adverb of...........)
Zoe rode her bike down the road
Zoe rode her bike like an expert

Fronted adverbials
is when the adverbial word or phrase is moved to the front of the sentence, before the verb.
"I discovered fronted adverbials earlier today"
"Earlier today, I discovered fronted adverbials"
