Today's lesson will introduce Maya Angelou, the writer of the poem 'Equality' we'll be studying. What do you think the poem will discuss?

Write ONE of the following text types based on one or all of the three poems you read or based on the global issue of racism:
*Tabloid news article or broadsheet news article *Dramatic Monologue
*Short Story
*Poem
*Film script or play

Make sure that you understand the features/ conventions of the text type of your choice and apply that knowledge while writing your text.

Make sure that your text also shows detailed and thorough understanding of the issue of racism.
In a rationale we will ask you to explain how you did your research and we will ask you to reflect on how your task worked out. 200-300 words

The task itself is supposed to be between 600-800 words
