Countable nouns - can be counted, e.g. an apple, two apples, three apples, etc

Uncountable nouns - cannot be counted, e.g. air, rice, water, information
- Tip: cannot be expressed in a plural form.

Quantifiers are adjectives. They goes before a noun to express the quantity of the object.

Quantifiers describe:
- “how much” (uncountable) 
- “how many” (countable) 
there is of a given noun there is.

- Some is used in positive sentences (+).
- Much, many and any are used in negative and question form. (-) (?)
