A Day at the Wildlife Park
Last weekend, we visited a wildlife park that’s a popular tourist 1____________. It was in a beautiful natural area, far from the city, and the surroundings were very 2____________.
We went there to learn more about endangered animal 3____________, and how we can help protect them and their natural 4____________. One of the zookeepers gave a talk about pandas and why they are a special kind of bear. She said it’s 5____________ how few of them are left in the wild.

Wanneer gebruik je 's:  
Als de eigenaar van iets een persoon, dier, organisatie of land is.

Much en many betekenen allebei - veel

Last Saturday, my family and I went to an animal rescue farm. There were so 1______ (much/many) interesting things to see. At the entrance, we saw 2______ (much/many) chickens running around. I didn’t know chickens could make so 3______ (much/many) noise!

We walked past a big field with cows. The farmer told us they don’t drink that 4______ (much/many) water in winter. There weren’t 5______ (much/many) visitors yet, so it was quiet and peaceful. I liked that very 6______ (much/many).

What is the past simple ?

To tell something happened yesterday, last week, last month, last year, five year ago.
To talk about completed actions in the past

 verb+ed = past simple

walk - walked
look - looked
cycle - cycled

If the verb ends in a short vowel (korte klinker) + one consonant (medeklinker),
you double that consonant when you add -ed.

(to stop) He stopped to take a picture.
(to grab) They grabbed the food off the floor.

If the verb ends in a consonant (medeklinker) + -y, you replace that -y with -ied.

(to try) The monkey tried to climb the tree.
(to cry) The player cried after losing the final.

Some verbs (werkwoorden) have their own form instead of -ed.
