 Dan werk je zelfstandig aan de volgende onderdelen:

Lezen: Werk in de Reading Reader aan de leesteksten en beantwoord de bijbehorende vragen. Deze teksten heb je vóór de les van 20 mei al gelezen en gemaakt.

Signaalwoorden: Bestudeer de signaalwoorden (overgangswoorden). Zorg dat je deze goed kent.

-       I can state my opinion on the book that I have read.

-       I can identify and speak about several literary terms.

-       I can use several literary terms to explain my experience while reading the book.

-       I can use appropriate language to convey a message.

Presentations must be 4 minutes (a clear beginning -1 minute-, middle -2 minutes- and ending -1 minute-). 

Group members must ask questions in a 1-minute question and answer session.

As a group, you will be able to improve your mark. This depends on the group’s behaviour during presentation and the quality of the questions.

Speaking Oral Exam (3 parts, 10 mins in total):

1.    I can give a short (prepared) presentation about a book that I have read. (2 min)

2.    I can have a short conversation (and also answer questions) about 5 texts that I have chosen from unit 4 & 5. (3 min)

3.    I can answer random questions about various topics without too much hesitation, thus in other words improvise. (5 min)
