Conditionals
Zero conditional       - general truth
First conditional        - linking two possible futures together
Second conditional - linking less likely future events
Third conditional      - linking impossible future event to missed                                                past condition.

Slide 9 - Tekstslide

Zero Conditional
We use the zero conditional to talk about things that are generally true, especially for laws and rules.

EX: Ice melts if you heat it.

if/when + present simple >> present simple.

Slide 10 - Tekstslide

The FIRST conditional
  • We use the FIRST conditional  to talk about future events that might take place
  • It will not always be true

Slide 11 - Tekstslide

Second conditional
The second conditional is used to imagine present or future situations that are impossible or unlikely in reality.

EX: If I won a lot of money, I'd buy a big house in the country.

The structure is usually: if + past simple >> + would + infinitive.
