• Work together with a classmate. 
• Look at exercise 26 B on page 24 of your workbook. 
• Describe the actions in the screens to your classmate. Use the Stone. 

Wat zijn fillers?

• Fillers zijn opvulwoorden: woorden zonder betekenis, zoals uh of um.  
• Je zegt ze vaak onbewust, als je aarzelt, een stilte wilt opvullen of om een gesprek soepeler te laten verlopen. 
• De meest voorkomende opvulwoorden in het Engels zijn: er, um, well, oh, so, you know, I mean, really. 

Exercise 2

• Listen to the two pieces of text I am going to read.
• Write down all the fillers you hear.
• Count them up: how many fillers did you hear in total in each piece of text?
• Compare with your partner. 

Online shopping fails

Sometimes online shopping goes wrong.

• The reliability of the website and/or advertisement.
  
• The products pupil A wants to order.
  
• The hobby pupil A needs it for and how often they enjoy their hobby.
  
• Pupil B, suggest another online shop or app from which A can order the product.
  
• Pupil B, give pupil A instructions on how to order online.
  
• Choosing a date and time that the package can be delivered.
  
• When you get stuck or don't know how to say a word: use fillers.
