Schedule:
  • Learning goals
  • Comparing categorical data
  • Numerical data/outliers
  • Work on your own data

Slide 1 - Tekstslide

Learning goals
At the end of this lesson I can:
  •  Compare 2 sets of (categorical) data
  • Draw a tall and frequency table for numerical data
  • Find outliers

- Compare the modes of the data sets
- How does the difference in the total amount of students influence the graph?

Slide 4 - Tekstslide

Numerical data
Numerical data = data which is in number form
in the survey I asked:
- your gender
- Your height
- Your travel time
- Your favorite subject
- The continent you lived in before the Netherlands

6 children is a outlier

Outliers are much larger or smaller that most of the data

Slide 10 - Tekstslide

Class data (categorical)
1. Go to ManageBac > Files > Unit 6 probability and statistics > MP2F data and MP2A data
2. Choose one of the following topics: Favorite subject, continent you lived in before the Netherlands, Languages spoken
3. Draw a frequency table including the data from both MP2A and MP2F
4. Create a side-by-side column graph comparing the data 2 classes
5. Compare the modes of the classes
6. Done? Repeat steps 2-5 for a different topic.
