Robert asks the farmers to give him three sacks of grain each month. His steward writes everything down. Everyone has delivered their grain and has gone back to their homes.

The serfs have just returned from their land and also returned back home. The next morning Lord Robert returns to his storage and discovers that one of his bags of grain has been stolen!
