Slide 8 - Tekstslide

Difference
Some nouns in English are countable – we can use them in singular and plural forms.

Some are uncountable – they only have one form.

Slide 9 - Tekstslide

Rules
We often use a/an with singular countable nouns and some with plurals.

We can also use some with uncountable nouns.

Slide 10 - Tekstslide

Remember..?
We often use a/an before singular countable nouns.

Before words that start with a vowel sound, we use an.
Example: an apple.

Before words that start with a consonant sound, we use a.
Example: a pen.
Vowels =
a,e,i,o,u

Slide 11 - Tekstslide

Pay attention!
Some can be any number more than one.

Sometimes we don't use some or a number before plurals.
