Search the internet for a recipe you would like to make. When you have found something to your liking, make sure it fits the requirements on slide 4!

For instance, does it excist of at least 5 ingredients?
Can you explain why you chose it?
But also, can you buy all the ingredients in our supermarkets?
And, is it not too expensive? So, will your parents approve (zullen je ouders het goed vinden)?

Create a word list
Go through the recipe and create a list of words of which you don’t know the English translation. Think of both ingredients (bijvoorbeeld poedersuiker of basilicum), utensils (gebruiksvoorwerpen: bijvoorbeeld kom of spatel), and verbs (werkwoorden: bijvoorbeeld giet af of kneed).
Look up and note down the English translations of the words.

If you are working with an English recipe already, you look up and note down the Dutch translations of the words you don't know yet.
You may do this in a Word document or your notebook.
