Grammar terms to know
subject = het onderwerp:  THE CAT always scratches me.
verb = werkwoord: The cat always SCRATCHES me.
auxiliary verb = hulpwerkwoord: My dog HAS bitten me.
adverb = bijwoord: My dog USUALLY does not bite me.
imperative = gebiedende wijs. Never leave your bag unattended.

Present time
The following sections cover the present simple and the present continuous and how to choose the correct verb tense in the present time.
Examples:
Present simple: I go to the gym every week.
Present continuous: He is working on a project this week.

I work
He works
I don't work
He doesn't work.

I am working.

be, have, take, think, depend, appear, 
but this usually changes the meaning.

I am getting used to dealing with complaints. ( Hier begin je aan te wennen)

The word [ bare infinitive] is used.
This only means: het hele werkwoord zonder to ervoor.
He used to......sing in a band.
[Used to]  goes together, [sing] is the bare infinitive.
