Appeal to authority
"It's true because the president says so"

Anecdotal Evidence
"This one lady said this herb cured her so it must work"

Bandwagon

How to form strong arguments:

Use one or all of these methods:
Ethos: credibility and expertise.
Pathos: emotions and passion.
Logos: logical reasons and evidence. 

Side note: you may use the previous ones as a jokey intro.
Humans shouldn't eat animal products. Read and color match.

1: Animals have feelings just like us, they feel pain and fear so we should let them live.

2: You need 15 liters of water for 1kg of beef which is bad for the environment.

3: My doctor supports vega diets because of the antibiotics used in farming which are harmful to us.

School cafeterias should only serve healthy foods. Argue this statement using pathos (emotion)

Use any of the 3 argument methods: ethos, pathos, logos:
Ms. Zelenecka is the worst English teacher.

Time to work = homework
1: Form groups of 4 --> pick people you can work well with. 

2: Pick three statements --> see the list on ELO or come up with new ones.

3: Divide and conquer --> do research about the topics and takes notes.
= find at least three reliable sources (one per topic) and bring to class tomorrow!
