Intersubjectivity

 Intersubjectivity can be developed in the following ways-

• Match the expression of emotion
• Notice yours and the child’s non-verbal communication
• Be truly interested and listen to the child’s experience

"What is the mirroring process?"

Mirroring process

• Mirroring is the behaviour in which one person subconsciously imitates the gesture, speech pattern, or attitude of another. 
• A non-verbal way to show empathy.
• It signals that we are connected to that person in some way. 
• Mirroring is a sign of comfort and trust.

Activities 

We're going to do 2 activities from Brainbox NI that have been designed to promote brain development. 

Benefits of activities

Ping pong pringles- motor planning, visual processing, proprioceptive feedback 

Hand positions sheet- focus and concentration, coordination, visual processing and tracking, motor planning, bilateral ability, reading fluency 

Benefits of activities

Felt tips- bilateral coordination, visual stimulation, motor planning, fine motor dexterity
