Hoe maak je de past perfect?

past perfect = had + voltooid deelwoord

Ik had de film al gezien, maar ik wilde mijn moeder niet teleurstellen, dus heb ik hem nog een keer bekeken.

I had already seen the movie but I didn't want to disappoint my mother so I watched it again.

(notice in Dutch you use "heb bekeken but in English you just use "watched" not "have watched")
