  • Reported speech = Indirect Speech
  • Direct Speech: Something is said directly, sentence is between inverted commas "..."
  • June said, "It is my car."

  • Indirect Speech: Something is said indirectly & the sentence isn't between commas anymore. The tense also changes one step back in time
  • June said that it was her car.
