Active/ Passive Voice 
De active/passive voice zijn twee manieren om zinnen te bouwen.

My mother cleaned my room. (ACTIVE)
My room was cleaned (by my mother). (PASIVE)

When do we use the passive voice?

-Wanneer wie niet belangrijk is.
-Wanneer je iemand geen schuld wil geven.
-Wanneer wie overduidelijk is.
-Het onderwerp (OW) doet NIETS (is een item/ding etc.)

My bike (OW) was stolen yesterday.
When do we use the active voice?

-Wanneer de (wie)eigenaar en/of persoon wel belangrijk is.
-Wanneer de persoon belangrijk is om de situatie te begrijpen. 
-Het onderwerp (OW) doet IETS, is actief (vaak persoon)

A thief (OW) stole my bike yesterday.
