1. Startklaar

Raise your hand if you've ever...

📺 Watched TV while doing homework
🎵 Listened to music while learning something difficult
💭 Forgotten what you just read because you were thinking about something else

Today we'll discover why our brains struggle with these situations!

The Multitasking Myth
  • Can humans multitask? ❌ NO!

  • Your brain cannot consciously focus on two things at the same time that both require thinking.

    What Really Happens:
🔄 Your brain switches between tasks
⏱️ Each switch takes time
❌ You make more mistakes
🐌 Tasks take longer to complete

The One Exception
✅ When One Task is AUTOMATED
You CAN do two things at once when one doesn't require conscious thinking

✅ This Works:

Walking + Talking
(walking is automatic)

❌ This Doesn't Work:
Writing essay + Texting
(both need active thinking)
