Why?

• to connect sentences
• to add structure to your text

Step 1 (this was homework)

Work in groups of four. You are going to make a short test on linking words for one of the other groups and grade it. 

• Write five gap sentences together where you leave out the linking word. Make it challenging!
• Make sure there is one test paper with questions per group.
• Prepare an answer key as well.

(So I want to see 5-6 groups! There was a reminder in Magister)

Homework check: upload a picture of your sentences here, or type them quickly (2 minutes)

Step 2

• Exchange your test papers.
• Provide the sentences with a suitable linking word.

• Finished early?
• Provide feedback on the test. Was it easy or difficult? Did you find any mistakes?

Step 3

• An expert (someone who made the test) joins the group that just finished the test. 
• Discuss the test and grade it with your answer key.

Step 4

• The experts return to their groups.
• Discuss any of the feedback your test received. What would you do differently next time?
