Adverbs of:
  1. Place & Time  (waar & wanneer)
  2. Manner             (hoe)
  3. Frequency       (hoe vaak)

Adverbs of Place & time
  • Meestal eind van de zin.
      Joan is leaving from the platform at nine.
  • Als het tijdstip extra belangrijk is dan mag Tijd ook vooraan.
      Tomorrow, he has to be on time at his work!
  • Eerst Plaats dan Tijd (PieT)
  • Van groot naar klein.
       I'll meet you in Kampen at the McDonalds on Friday at ten o'clock.

Adverbs of Manner
Voorb: very, really, incredibly, terribly: geven aan hoe iets gebeurt.

  1. Vóór het woord waar ze iets van zeggen bij een bijvoeglijk naamwoord of bijwoord. 
       He is very friendly. This is really nice.
   2. Eind van de zin. Bij een werkwoord.
       He sang the  song iterribly.
       of vóór het hoofdwerkwoord. They nervously waited for the President.

       Nooit tussen het werkwoord en het onderwerp!

Always, never, often, usually, sometimes: geven aan hoe vaak iets voorkomt.

  1. Vóór het hoofdwerkwoord.
        He never comes home late. She always eats apples on Sundays.
  1.  Na een vorm van to be.
        I am never anxious. They were always in the mood for singing.
