When do you use the present simple?

How do you make the present simple? 

hele werkwoord zonder "to" . He/ She/ It = +s

"to walk" --> I walk, he walks

Present simple:

Wat is de regel van de present simple?

1. Werkwoord + -ed
2. hele ww (bij I, you, we, they) hele ww + s (bij he, she, it)
3. Hele werkwoord

Woorden die eindigen op een s-klank krijgen in de tegenwoordige tijd bij he she en it:

1. werkwoord + s

3. werkwoord + es

Woorden die eindigen op een -y met daarvoor een medeklinker (bijv. study) krijgen in de tegenwoordige tijd bij he she en it:

When do you use the present continuous?

now, right now, at the moment. WW! (Look! Listen!)

How do you make the present continuous? 

vorm van "to be" + ww-ing

"to walk" --> I am walking, he is walking, they are walking

Present continuous:
Wat is de regel van de present continuous?

1. ww + - ed
2. shit = bij she/he/it : ww +-(e)s
3. vorm van to be + ww+-ing

Grammar Present Simple and Continuous

much / many 

“Much” en “many” beteken beide “veel” in het Engels.

• Als het woord telbaar (countable) is gebruik je “many”.

• Als het woord niet telbaar (uncountable) is gebruik je “much”

Voorbeeld:

• Many: euros, children, people, books, shoes.

• Much: water, money, hope, love, sugar, coffee.

Vaak kun je een zelfstandig naamwoord vervangen door one wanneer je het herhaalt of wanneer je antwoord geeft op een vraag:

Which skirt are you going to buy? The white one.

This new bag is black, my old one was green.

I like your bike, did you buy a new one?

Bij meervoud gebruik je ones:

I'm going to buy new trainers because my old ones have holes in them.

These brown belts are cheaper than the black ones over there.
