Says something about a noun


Usually placed before a noun

Adjectives are formed a bit different, more on the next slide
Adverb
Says something about the way an action is performed

Usually placed after the main verb

To make an adverb, you usually add -ly to the adjective.

If the adjective ends in -y, you replace that with -ily.
happy -> happily
If the adjective ends in -ic, you add -ally.
basic -> basically
If the adjective ends in -le, you replace that with -ly.
