 to speculate= to form a theory or idea of something without firm evidence
must + infinitive
might, may or could + infinitive
can't + infinitive

Modal verbs for speculation
We use Must + infinitive when we believe something is true.

She must be tired after this weekend
Joleen must feel sad after the break up.
We use Might, may or could + infinitive when we believe something is possibly true.

She may be tired, but she might come with you.
Joleen could feel sad, but feel free to ask her.

We use Can't + infinitive when we believe something is not true.

She can't be tired, she didn't do anything
Joleen can't fee sad after the break up, she didn't love her partner.
