Om zinnen met to be (am, is, are) ontkennend te maken zet je het woord not achter am, is, are.

I am happy --> I am not happy

Om zinnen met to be (am, is, are) vragend te maken zet je het werkwoord vooraan in de zin.

He is happy --> Is he happy?

Maak de zin ontkennend:
You are very kind to me

To have got ontkennend

Het werkwoord to have got kan je op 2 manieren ontkennend maken.

Met het woord got (1) en zonder het woord got (2):

• 1. He has got many friends --> He hasn't got many friends
• I have got two dogs --> I haven't got two dogs.
• 2. She has a lot of homework --> She doesn't have a lot of homework.
• We have more than enough money --> We don't have more than enough money.

Bij she/he/it krijg je does + ow + ww + rest v/d zin (1)
