Slide 3 - Tekstslide

Explore your poem?
  • Last poetry lesson: you went into groups and picked out the poem you liked the most
  • Explore the poem/songtext you chose as a group on your own first and answer these questions:
  • What can you say about rhyme?
  • What can you say about structure?
  • What can you say about meaning?
  • What can you say about the author and the background of the poem?

Slide 4 - Tekstslide

Create a presentation
  • EXAMPLE: My Brother ate my smartphone, by Ken Nesbitt.
  • The rhyme is ABCB, the structure is made up of 5 even verses and there is not really a
  • deeper meaning to it. It’s mostly about the brother who ate a smartphone and became smart by it!

Rijmschema gedichten

Het is makkelijk om het rijmschema van een gedicht te achterhalen:

  1. Lees het gedicht.
  2. Kijk welke zinnen met elkaar rijmen.
  3. Geef elke rijmende zin dezelfde letter, begin met a.

Al vanaf de eerste dag

was ik betoverd door jouw lach

Mijn liefde voor jou is eindeloos

Slide 9 - Tekstslide

Create a presentation
  • Create a short presentation (+/-10 minutes) in which you introduce your poem/song text to the rest of the class through reading it aloud followed by an interactive exercise and concluded by why you as a group chose this poem.

  • There are millions of possibilities and you are free to think of other options.
  • Be creative!
  • Do keep in mind that:
  • You only have 10 min
  • Each member of your group needs to participate in the presentation
  • The rest of the class needs to interactively explore the poem with you
  • The most creative presentation will receive a prize

  • If you have time left – go online and find out to whom this poem was of great inspiration and why
