Pair work

You are going to act out the conversation between James and Megan with your neighbour but you are going to use your own names in the dialogue.

Example: Hi! I'm ...., But people usually call me ....

Do this exercise two times, one time you play the role of Megan (but with your own name and one time play the role of James)

Pair work

Take turns to describe your family tree. Each of you should at least give examples of 5 family relationships.

example: my name is Fabienne and I've got one younger sister, Jade. My mom's name is Myrna and my dad's name is Roland. On the top of my family tree you see my Grandmother Leny and my Grandfather Wouter

Listen to James and Megan Meet Again (all right online 1.3 ex.6) and read along. Underline the expressions they use (the names may be different)

after both of you have played both roles once, you act out the eight short conversations again but you replace the words in bold with facts about yourself.

- where are you from? I'm from Druten

B) pair work practise talking about yourself with a classmate. One person asks the questions and the other answers them. when you have finished, switch roles.

A) Read the texts in #celebrateCommonwealthDay (page.23). In which countries are the celebrations taking place? Tick the correct boxes. We will do the first one together!

B)Draw lines from the country names on the right to the countries on the Map (the yellow countries)
