Lazy cat Tombili

This lazy cat's name was Tombili. Everyday, he lazily sat on this curb. The people loved this chubby cat and his relaxed attitude. They quickly took photos of him. When he sadly passed away, people put a  beautiful statue of him at this urban location. 

There were two types of words written in bold.
What are the two types?

Hagrid

•  Hagrid  is exceptionally tall. This is also the reason why he can't run fast. He is wearing a brown long jacket. He also has a very long beard. He has to brush this beard frequently. He used to be a great wizard. Now he works at Hogwarts. He absolutely loves scary monsters.

Adverb/ bijwoord

Gives information about a verb, another adverb or an adjective

It answers how, where, when, how much, how often etc.

adverbs are often formed by adding -Ly

There are irregular adverbs as well. 

He sings beautifully

He speaks English well.

Adjective:

She is a beautiful person. --> zelfstandig naamwoord

My parents have a red car. --> zelfstandig naamwoord

Bijwoord: 

She sings beautifully. --> werkwoord

He is an extremely careful driver. --> bijvoeglijknaamwoord

He drives extremely carefully. --> ander bijwoord

Spelling

Bijwoord: bijvoeglijknaamwoord + ly

beautiful - beautifully

Uitzonderingen:

- le   --> ly                  terrible - terribly

- y    --> ily                  easy - easily

- ic  --> ically             fantastic - fantastically

Uitzonderingen

Some adverbs and adjectives are the same and don't change!

- fast    - long

- hard   - low

- high

- late

Good & Well

Adjective: good

Adverbs: well

John is a good singer. 

John sings well. 

No adverbs after the next verbs: 

- be (am/are/is/was/were)                      I am good. 

- feel                                                                  She feels great.

- taste                                                               This hamburger tastes good.

- smell                                                               The food smells delicious.

- seem                                                               He seems smart.
