2. Phase 1 - 2: The presentation can be in English but you have to use 5 - 10 new Dutch words in your presentation.
3. Phase 3: You try to make your presentation in Dutch.
4. Next lesson: present your Dutch habit or custom in groups.

You are going to write a short text about the differences and similarities between The Netherlands and your country. 
Phase 1: Fill in the worksheet in Dutch
Phase 2: Fill in the worksheet + write a short text about your country in Dutch (10 sentences) 
Phase 3: Schrijf een tekst waarin je Nederland en jouw land vergelijkt. Je kunt de onderwerpen van de spreekoefening gebruiken. Je tekst is ongeveer een half A4 lang.

1. Make groups of 2 or 3 students. I want phase 3 and 1 to be mixed, so you can help eachother. 
2. Read the questions on the worksheet. Look up the words you don't know. Write them down with their translation 
3. If you don't know the answer, the internet can help you!
4. Done? Highlight the question words + make some new quiz questions about The Netherlands in Dutch

1. You are going to interview another student/teacher/parent about The Netherlands in Dutch with your little group. 
2. You are going to ask them 3 things they like about the Netherlands or Dutch people in general and 3 things they dislike. Ask them why!
3. Choose someone who can answer you in Dutch. 
4. Prepare the interview: think of introducing yourself, explaining why you will ask the questions and how you will ask the questions.
5. Record the video  and write a short summary (in Dutch) of the interview: questions and answers. This will be the homework for the next lesson

You are going to make a tourist flyer (1 A4) of a country/city of choice. You must have lived in that country and it can't be The Netherlands. You are going to make the tourist flyer in Dutch. You can use you laptop to look up sentence structures and words. You can also ask help from the teacher or classmates. This tourist brochure will be graded as a formal formative. You will get time in class to finish the brochure.
