The Roman Games were a way for the Romans to escape the troubles of daily life. 

Romans would go to the amphiteatre and watch gruelsome battles or 'games' for their entertainment.

When studying sources, you need always need to check their origin and purpose.

Questions you need to answer when writing about the origin are:
- who is the author/maker of this source?
- where does this source come from? 
- when was it published/made?

- is the information fact or opinion?
- what is the perspective/viewpoint of the source?
